Lil’ Dartboard Crochet Pattern

This pattern is a compact version of my dartboard blanket, perfect for coasters, placemats, wall hangings, and other decorative pieces. Whether you’re looking for a functional item or a fun accent, this project works up quickly and allows for plenty of customization.

The pattern is available in both weight 4 and weight 3 yarn, giving you options for different sizes. And don’t feel pressured to complete every round— if at any point it looks ‘dartboard enough’ to you, you can stop there or add one more round of black before finishing it off. Check out the photos at the end for different stages of the pattern and ways to use it.

Materials:

•Weight 4 yarn and 4mm hook or weight 3 yarn and 3.25mm hook

(<1 skein each of black, white, green, and red)

•Scissors

•Yarn needle

Size and gauge:

Weight 4 yarn version finished:  8.25 inch diameter

Weight 3 version finished: 6 inch diameter

Abbreviations (US):

ch: chain

st(s): stitch(es)

sl st: slip stitch

sc: single crochet

hdc: half double crochet

dc: double crochet

inc: increase

Notes:

•The blanket is worked in the round, turning your work after each row.

•Turning chain does not count as a stitch

•When working color changes, carry the unused yarn by crocheting over it, and gently tug to avoid the unused color peeking through.

•Do not carry the yarn through the last triangle of the round, as it will be visible when moving up to the next row. Instead, drop it and pick it up in the next row as needed.
